From the very first time Belinda walked into a Salsa nightclub, she was hooked – the music, the passion, the freedom of movement, all captivated her. She has now been dancing Salsa for 9 years.

Belinda has studied with some of the best Salsa and Afro-Cuban instructors in Toronto and has trained with world-renowned instructors from New York, Puerto Rico, Los Angeles, Chicago and the U.K. She has also attended numerous salsa congresses in New York, Detroit and Toronto.

Belinda was a finalist in the Berlin Salsa Competition in 2003 and joined Latin Dance Theatre in 2004. She performed with LDT the 2004 Canada Salsa Congress and at numerous multicultural events around Toronto.

Belinda has broadened her dance training to include jazz and ballet. Her extensive dance background, along with her degree in education and her experience as a high school teacher, make her a natural born teacher who is patient and encouraging.

Belinda joined Steps Dance Studio in 2004 and performed with Steps Dance Company at the 2009 Canada Salsa Congress.

Belinda is also the Registration Coordinator for the Canada Salsa Congress.
