Jennifer Aucoin, Artistic Director & Instructor

Jennifer Aucoin is a full-time salsa instructor, performer, choreographer and event organizer. She is the founder and director of STEPS Dance Studio, artistic director for Steps Dance Company and co-founder of the Women's Salsa Retreat. She is the organizer of the annual Six Degrees Salsa Competition in Toronto, one of the most prestigious salsa competitions in Canada. Jennifer has represented Canada on the judging panel for the World Salsa Championships televised on ESPN for the past four years and has judged competitions in Puerto Rico, Ecuador, New York, Las Vegas, Orlando, Miami, Detroit, Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto.    [read full bio...]

 Angelo has had a love and appreciation for music since a very young age. He was introduced to the Latin culture in high school, where he discovered his love and passion for Salsa and Latin music. Amanda Roberts, Instructor

 Amanda loves to dance! The freedom to express herself through music is powerful and the universality of dance is inspirational. However, in 1997, while living and working in Australia Amanda discovered the marvelous rhythm of Salsa and her affinity for this style of music and dance. Shortly thereafter she began her journey of extensive training and studied Salsa at Toronto's dance schools as well as with world-renowned instructors at international congresses; eventually expanding her repertoire to include: Casino Rueda, Bachata, Cha Cha Cha, Merengue, Cumbia and Latin Hustle.    [read full bio...]
   

Efren Castillo, Instructor

 Efren has been dancing his entire life, as part of his Latin culture. He started formally training in 2007 and hasn't looked back ever since. He joined the STEPS family in 2008, and has been able to train with some of the most recognized dance instructors in the world, such as Billy Fajardo, Katie Marlow and Nelson Flores in varied form of dancing. Clifton Stennett, Instructor

Clifton Stennett comes from a long line of dancers and musicians and has been singing and dancing since before he was able to able to read and write.Clifton's dance background consists of Reggae, Hip-Hop, R & B and salsa. He is also a songwriter and has been singing and recording Dancehall reggae for the past 8 years and has performed with several Hip-Hop and Reggae dance groups.   [read full bio...]

Tara Pryke's extensive leadership experience along with her compassion for people and great organizational skills makes her a great asset to the Steps team.
