Join us for dance lessons at 8 pm, followed by social dancing and snacks!
Meet other students and dancers. Practice what you have learned in a relaxed and friendly environment. Not confident to use some dance moves in the nightclub yet? Try them here first. Dance with your fellow classmates, Toronto dancers and your instructors. All ages and all levels welcome, including non-Steps students and dancers. No partner necessary - everyone dances with everyone and most people rotate partners after every song.
Admission: $15 in advance/$20 at the door (includes dance lesson)

A performance class will help to improve your memory of shines, enhance your styling and body movement, improve your timing and musicality and help you learn tricks. Unleash your inner performer, increase your confidence on the dance floor, meet new people and have fun!
Students must be in Bachata Levels 3-5. This course is great for first time performers and repeat performance course students.
Please note: All participants must commit to the full duration of the course.

Get ready for some fancy footwork! Learn a choreographed Salsa shines routine then perform it at various events, including the Canada Salsa & Bachata Congress in October!
This course is sure to improve your memory of shines. And of course, you'll get to enhance your styling and body movement. No partner, no problem -- here, you'll become more comfortable dancing on your own!
Students must be in Salsa Levels 2-3 (or higher). No partner required.
This course is great for first time performers and repeat performance course students.

Open Performance Training Lab
Fridays
8:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Our Open Performance Training Lab will help you improve your technique, elevate your body movement and provide you with the tools you need to succeed in performances and competitions. Follow a curriculum that covers everything from footwork technique, to challenging spins, to daring lifts. This lab is your entryway to being a captivating and self-assured dance performer, whether your goals are competitions, paid performances or personal development.
Lab highlights include:
Technique foundations: Improve your technique by focusing on the fundamentals of dancing and improving your posture, balance, and strength. Develop a solid technical foundation that enables you to carry out dance moves with ease and precision.
Body Movement: As you experiment with different dance forms, you will develop fluidity, grace and body awareness that will allow you to tell compelling stories with your movements.
Spins and turns: Master the art of spinning with dexterity and control. You'll pick up skills that give your performances a captivating dimension, from graceful pirouettes to dynamic multiple turns.
Tricks and lifts: Add awe-inspiring tricks and lifts to your routines to make them more impressive. In order to assure your safety and competence in performing stunning aerial stunts, we will lead you through gradual instruction.
Stage presence: Discover how to engage your audience, project charm, and deliver a performance with steadfast confidence that has a lasting impression.
Price: $25 per session
Price for Steps auto-renew or annual members: $15 per session
Price for Steps Team members: FreePlease note that this training lab isn't included in memberships or class passes. Non-Steps members are welcome to attend. Students aren't required to commit to every session (but are encouraged to attend as many as possible!).
Recurring Student Outings
Join the Steps instructors and your fellow students at one of the many club outings we organize. We love to dance so ask us for a dance - we won't say no!
Don't want to wait for an official Steps party or outing to practice? Lots of our students (plus students and dancers from across the city) attend Toronto Dance Fridays and Baila Con Gusto at El Rancho on Thursdays.
Salsa on St Clair

Celebrate summer with us at TD Salsa on St Clair. This is our favourite street festival and is the only festival in Toronto where people do more than just eat and watch entertainment - they take part in non-stop dancing in the streets! Dance lessons, live bands, performances, great food and a huge street party.
Join us at the Steps Dance Studio booth (located at the north corner of St. Clair and Rushton Rd., just west of Christie St) for FREE lessons, prize giveaways, promo deals, outdoor dancefloor and
DJ Alberth Moreno all weekend long.
